Rosalba Valdez is a Mexican-American singer/songwriter from Chicago known for her powerful voice, bilingual lyrics, vibrant Latin rhythms, and dynamic live performances. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants from Michoacán, Rosalba draws from her bicultural identity to create music that celebrates her culture while exploring themes of identity, love, resilience, immigration, and social justice.

Leading her dynamic 8-piece band, Los Valientes, Rosalba has become a fixture in Chicago’s music scene and has performed at festivals and major cultural events across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada with her EP, Yo Soy Mexicana.

In 2026, Rosalba was selected as a finalist for México Canta, Mexico’s national singing competition. In July, she was invited to perform before the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, at the Palacio Nacional.

Her newest single, Rumba de Rosalba, showcases her infectious live-band energy, inspired by tropical rhythms and communal lyrics. Through music and community work, Rosalba continues to connect cultures, celebrate her roots, and use her voice as a force for positive change.
